Dr. Alexa Ives is a Pittsburgh native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Science/Pre-Optometry in 2015. She is a 3rd generation legacy graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2019 like her father and grandfather. While attending PCO, she discovered her passion for corneal disease and pediatric binocular vision through various clinical externships primarily in the Washington D.C./Metro area.
Dr. Alexa enjoys working in private practice focusing on ocular disease and specialty contact lenses in addition to serving pediatric populations. She works part-time traveling to long term care facilities to provide eyecare to geriatric patients as well. She is active in the American Optometric Association as well as the Pennsylvania Optometric Association.
When away from the office, Lexie can be found hiking the trails surrounding Murrysville, running along the Heritage Trail, or spending time with family and friends.
